FIAYC (Fifi’s International African Youth club/drop in centre). based in Gateshead at Saint Mark’s Methodist Churh. FIAYC is a non profitable organisation which was established in November 2010 with the aims to reduce isolation and promote cultural exchange of young African people who came to Britain due to trauma in their home countries.

Our club welcomes young people from all nationalities age 5-25 as we see this as a way of breaking down barriers between cultures. We organise different activities at youth level such as dance, drama, music and we produce shows to the local community. We have about 92 registered children and young people who come from various places including, Gateshead, Newcastle and Sunderland.

We work together with volunteers who motivates children and young people to take part in most of our activies.
