The Swallows Partnership

The Swallows Partnership was an international partnership based in the arts and culture – between the North East of England and the Eastern Cape of South Africa

It was made up of two foundations, Isiseko Senkonjane in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and Swallows Foundation UK in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

Together the two foundations worked to deliver the aims of the partnership as well as running their own artistic programmes. Both foundations created and delivered projects within the arts which allow development of artists, their practices and international exchange.

Swallows created links between artists and organisations from South Africa and the UK that led to the creation of new works, new relationships and even the forming of new companies.
