Refugee Week Exhibition and Talk – don’t miss them

People Like Us: From Saturday 13 June to Monday 22 June. A new exhibition at Newcastle City Library, New Bridge Street of photographs and words created especially for Refugee Week 2015, where asylum seekers and refugees tell powerfully moving stories… in their own words. Exhibition facilitated by David Stephenson (writer) and Aleksandra Dogramadzi (photographer). The exhibition is supported by Your Homes Newcastle with assistance from Newcastle Library. Please come, and please share this information.

On Thursday 18th June from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. there will be an open discussion in the Bewick Room (next to the exhibition) – with home-cooked refreshments provided. Participants in the exhibition will lead the discussion and anyone interested in raising awareness about the lives of people seeking asylum is invited to attend.
