STELLA CHIWESHE at Live Theatre, Newcastle – afternoon concert 3pm Sunday 14th June. Stella is an internationally renowned singer and performer of the mbira dzavadzimu, or thumb piano, a traditional instrument of the Shona people of Zimbabwe. She set out on the global concert circuit in the early 1980s and has released seven albums under her name to date, touring her inspirational music all over the world.
