Fantastic drum-and-dance troupe from Zimbabwe’s second city of Bulawayo don’t limit themselves to the cultural expression of their homeland. While ‘pan-African’ can often be a euphemism for a watered-down offering that tries to be universal and ultimately ends up lacking depth, Siyaya achieve the opposite, imbibing their performances with focus and clarity, using drums and dances from across the continent.
